A consultation is also a low-cost but effective way to tap into professional expertise, get new ideas, explore options (e.g. colour, pattern, materials) and resolve simple problems (e.g. room flow and furniture layout).

Consultation only - this is ideal if you don't want to hire an interior designer for a full project, or you want the satisfaction of doing a project by yourself, but want advice and guidance on design choices. Depending on how big your project is and how many questions you have, a one-hour consultation is usually enough.

Project consultation - this is vital if you want to hire a designer to do a bigger project for you, whether it's designing a single room or renovating a whole house. Because choosing a designer is such a big decision, for a small investment this consultation gives you the benefit and opportunity of briefly working together before committing to a longer term working relationship.
This consultation is the basis for a design brief to guide the creative process and development of a custom design, tailor-made just for you. Because measurements can be taken at this consultation, a two-hour consultation is best.
